Your child is expected to log onto Schoology daily to complete these assignments. I am keeping record of attendance through this. 

Each week your child will have assigments posted in Schoology. These assignments include:

• Every Monday/Wednesday/Friday your student must meet with the teacher on a Schoology Conference or Google Meet Video Chat at 11 am. The teacher will post a link that you can click on, and it will allow you to join the video chat. More info in the "Helpful Links" section.

• Google Slides that go along with our weekly Wonders reading, usually 2 sets of slides and 2 stories.

• Reading Log: Students must read for 30 minutes and complete their reading log daily. The reading log is submitted on Friday. 

• Vocabulary Words: Students must study two vocabulary words a day to prepare for a vocabulary quiz on Friday. 

• Vocabulary Quiz on Friday.

• Math: Different online math activities, or pages we tore out of their text book will be assigned daily. 

• Two writing prompts each week.

***If your child is unable to complete online assignments, please let me      know so I can create a paper document for them.

Digital Citizen

Students are expected to be good digital citizens while working online. This means they are not posting any negative comments towards their peers. Students should be completing their own work without the help of others. Students are welcome to post comments to their peers to check in with each other. Inappropriate comments will be deleted.

Expectativas

Se espera que su hijo inicie sesión en Schoology diariamente para completar estas tareas. Estoy manteniendo un registro de asistencia a través de esto. Cada semana su hijo tendrá asignaciones publicadas en Schoology. Estas tareas incluyen:

• Diapositivas de Google que acompañan nuestra lectura semanal de Wonders, generalmente 2 juegos de diapositivas y 2 historias.

• Registro de lectura: los estudiantes deben leer durante 30 minutos y completar su registro de lectura diariamente. El registro de lectura se presenta el viernes.

• Palabras de vocabulario: los estudiantes deben estudiar dos palabras de vocabulario al día para prepararse para un examen de vocabulario el viernes.

• Vocabulary QuIz el viernes.

• Matemáticas: se asignarán diariamente diferentes actividades matemáticas en línea, o páginas que arrancamos de su libro de texto.

• Dos mensajes de escritura cada semana.

 

*** Si su hijo no puede completar las tareas en línea, avíseme para que

      pueda crear un documento en papel para ellos.

Ciudadano digital

Se espera que los estudiantes sean buenos ciudadanos digitales mientras trabajan en línea. Esto significa que no están publicando ningún comentario negativo hacia sus pares. Los estudiantes deben completar su propio trabajo sin la ayuda de otros. Los estudiantes pueden enviar comentarios a sus compañeros para registrarse entre ellos. Los comentarios inapropiados serán eliminados.
